Approach
As a therapist deeply committed to guiding clients through existential
exploration, Tito facilitates introspective, dialectical sessions that
invite clients to confront life’s fundamental questions and discover
their individual sense of meaning and purpose. Through compassionate
listening, thought-provoking dialogue, and existential curiosity, Tito
empowers individuals towards strengthening a purpose-based autonomy, embrace their authenticity (through exploring their shadow), and live more fully aligned with their deepest values and aspirations.
Specialty
Drawing from Existential therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Tito encourages clients to build a sense of calm while managing their distress to assist them with attentively engaging with the competition of balancing personal
individual needs of meaning and fulfillment, baggage built from
lingering past stressors, and the demands of our day-to-day life. By
working to practice skills of mindfulness and actively defusing from
negative self-judgements, Tito aims to have people integrate these
competing personality aspects to allow for a more holistic integration
of our various needs, values, and cares.
Tito aims to recognize and validate that so many of our desires contradict and conflate, but that our sense of need and meaning has us look for ways to fit these aspects of ourselves together in a healthy equilibrium. With experience working in inpatient hospital settings, intensive outpatient groups, and individual private practices, Tito is adept at addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including personality disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, bipolar disorder, and more. He works best with those who wish to know more about themselves, want the space to explore the deeper parts of their character, and prefer having a therapist who gives them the occasional push.
Personal
Tito also brings his passion for fantasy and philosophy into the
therapeutic space, fostering creativity and introspection in his
clients’ journeys. He spends his free time engaging in whatever is his
latest nerd hobby or project, or just sitting and reading various
therapy books for fun.
