Approach

As a therapist deeply committed to guiding clients through existential exploration, Tito facilitates introspective, dialectical sessions that invite clients to confront life’s fundamental questions and discover their individual sense of meaning and purpose. Through compassionate listening, thought-provoking dialogue, and existential curiosity, Tito empowers individuals towards strengthening a purpose-based autonomy, embrace their authenticity (through exploring their shadow), and live more fully aligned with their deepest values and aspirations.

Specialty

Tito’s passion is to work with those who are struggling with loss. With people who know what it’s like to have something missing. Be it grief over death or divorce, loss of meaning and purpose, or a changing identity, Tito aims to rekindle the curiosity and interest that once drove people while working to navigate the pain and conflicting feelings in any loss.

Drawing from Existential therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Tito works with clients to build a sense of calm and stability to help manage their distress and soothe the pain from the loss. Tito then works on assisting clients with attentively engaging with re-building the balance between needs for purpose, love, and identity even while these needs compete with the demands of day-to-day life. It can be difficult to sort through the myriad of feelings that arise from this. Tito uses skills of mindfulness and psychoeducation to sort through these overwhelming feelings and defuse from negative self-judgements to help break out of the rut. For Tito, the goal of mental health is to live a life with curiosity, intimacy, and confidence in both real skills and self-knowledge.

With experience working in inpatient hospital settings, intensive outpatient groups, and individual private practices, Tito is adept at addressing a wide range of mental health concerns. He’s worked with Personality Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Grief, Bipolar Disorder, and Trauma. He works best with those who wish to know more about themselves, want the knowledge and skills to explore the deeper parts of their character, and prefer having a therapist who gives them the occasional push.

Personal

Tito also brings his passion for fantasy and philosophy into the therapeutic space, fostering creativity and introspection in his clients’ journeys. He spends his free time engaging in whatever is his latest nerd hobby or project, or just sitting and reading various therapy books for fun.

“We shall not cease from exploration / And the end of all our exploration / Will be to arrive where we started / And know the place for the first time.”
