Approach
Rama is a caring and motivated therapist with a focus on providing support for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and anxious behaviors across all age groups.
Specialty
Rama has a particular passion for working with sensitive gifted and talented children, understanding the unique challenges they face in reconciling their exceptional abilities with the pressures of society and familial expectations. As a former teacher, Rama recognizes the frustration and pressure that children experience daily and how they may express their internal experience through challenging or confusing behaviors that can be overwhelming for parents.
Throughout her career, Rama has developed specialized expertise in supporting individuals struggling with low self-esteem. She believes in empowering her clients to recognize their inherent worth and strengths.
Personal/Cultural
Growing up in the Houston Alief community, Rama works well with many different cultures and brings a culturally sensitive approach to her practice. Rama is deeply committed to promoting mental health awareness and destigmatizing seeking help for psychological concerns within the Muslim community.
In addition to her clinical work, Rama is actively involved in the play therapy community. She is dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and compassionate society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
