Internal Family Systems Therapy

Welcome to WHCC, where we offer Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy , a transformative approach to healing and personal growth.  IFS is a powerful and evidence-based model of therapy that helps individuals connect with their inner selves, heal emotional wounds, and cultivate greater self-awareness and compassion.

What is Internal Family Systems Therapy?

IFS therapy is based on the premise that each person is made up of multiple “parts,” each with its own thoughts, feelings, and motivations. These parts often develop in response to past experiences and serve to protect us from pain or harm.  In IFS therapy, the goal is to help individuals access and integrate these parts in order to achieve harmony, balance, and wholeness.

How Does IFS Therapy Work?

In IFS therapy, clients work with a trained therapist to explore and understand the various parts of themselves. Through guided visualization, dialogue, and mindfulness practices, clients learn to identify their protective parts. By developing a compassionate and curious attitude towards their inner experiences, clients can begin to heal emotional wounds and resolve conflicts.
