HOW TO REBUILD TRUST

Our marriage workshop is best for couples looking for evidence based tools to rebuild trust in a workshop/classroom style of learning.
Module 1: Factors that Impact Trust in Relationships
- Assess each partner’s relationship style and how it impacts the relationship.
- Explore values and belief systems that impact relationships.
- Acknowledge past trauma and its influence on current relational patterns.
Module 2: Addressing Current Conflicts in Relationships
- Identify the primary sources of pain and conflict in the current relationship.
- Explore the impact of recent events, such as infidelity, emotional betrayal, or ongoing conflicts.
- Address each partner’s protective behaviors (Gottman’s “Four Horsemen”) and IFS parts that contribute to relational distress.
Module 3: Rebuild and Renew: Practical Solutions
- Focus on tools and tips that can rebuild trust after a breach, such as infidelity or betrayal.
- Establish emotional safety and foster vulnerability with simple and practical steps.
- Create rituals of connection to strengthen intimacy and positive interaction.
Module 4: Application for Relationship Longevity
- Strengthen emotional intimacy and authenticity within the relationship with tools for the future.
- Apply tools to maintain a relationship where both partners feel seen, valued, and understood.
- Use the 8 C’s of Internal Family Systems (IFS) to foster a deeper connection between partners.
Get to Know Your Presenter:
Paula Rao is a Licensed Professional Counselor that has worked with couples for the past 10 years. Paula is a level 3 trained Gottman therapist and is a consultant for the famous “Marriage Transformation Program” created by Meg Tuohey.
